Summer Wreath was adapted from Bouquets for a Cure, McCalls Quilting Magazine, June 2000, Issue. The pattern was designed by Lynn Dash to support the Quilt for a Cure program.
It features machine embroidery, machine piecing and custom machine long arm quilting with trapunto.
Summer Wreath has been exhibited in numerous quilt shows in my area and won "Viewer's Choice" at three different venues along with a number of other ribbons.
Summer Wreath has most recently been juried into the Traditional Treasures V exhibit at the 2008 International Quilt Festival in Chicago, IL. This juried exhibit "showcases the best of contemporary regional traditional quiltmaking, with quilts featuring time-honored patterns and exquisite workmanship. It honors those quiltmakers who choose to work in the style of their foremothers and focusing on developing perfection of techniques."
