  Hi Barb,

"Wanted to let you know that we gave the quilt to my mom for her birthday.  She absolutely loved it.  She cried, of course!  She said it's the best present she's ever gotten.  We even got an email from her late at night saying she was up (crying) just looking at the quilt and said the memories it was bringing back were priceless and how much her gramma meant to her.  I just wanted to thank you for doing such an awesome job on it and helping us to give her the best present she's ever gotten!  Thank you so much!!"

Kristin

NOTE:  Every once in a while I am lucky enough to get an older quilt top that was just beautifully done but for some reason, never got quilted.  This quilt was definitely one of those.  It was a gorgeous log cabin done in 30's fabrics and had a lot of that wonderful bubble gum pink in it.  I really wish I would have  taken a picture of it.  It was wonderful!

You did an absolutely wonderful job of quilting my block of the month.  Thank you ever so much.  I fell in love with it when I opened it.  You brought it to life for me.  Thank you again!!!!

Thankful

NOTE:  Thankful made the most beautiful sampler quilt in a class.  I took pictures with every intention of posting them here.  NOW, I got a new computer and I can't find them.  I will post if I do!  Barb

Barb - "The quilts came and they are all beautiful. I can't wait to get the binding on to show them off. I like the basic overall meandering (Bare Bones)on the rock quilt and it didn't detract from the design. The backing you picked out was perfect for that one and also for the other two.

I love the custom quilting on the my BOM quilt. I can't wait to show it to the instructor.

Thank you for the great, fast service. Now I need to get down to work to get them done and some more finished."

I got a phone call after Christmas regarding a quilt that was purchased on Etsy. Now, when we get these calls we always think something is wrong, BUT this lady's husband had purchases my retro Wizard of Oz quilt and she wanted to tell me how much she loved it!  Got to love these phone calls.  Thank you for taking the time to call me.  It means a lot.

"I wanted to thank you for your quick response to my order.  The Coffee Clutch Quilted Table Runner was a BIG success as a gift for my daughter-in-law."  Kathy

I just had to let you know that we all just love the Raffle Quilt!  It is just grand. We had our Guild Christmas Party and everyone was thrilled with it!!!  From the pine cone border to the pads on the Bear Paws to the quilting on the trees and on I could go....  Every year the quilt is just wonderful, but you really did fabulous quilting on this one!  Many thanks from all of us in the Never Sweat Needlers' Quilt Guild.  We all wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

One of my quilts was highlighted in the Storque by guest curators, Sarah Rara and Luke Fischbeck of Lucky Dragons.

Bargello Trip Around the World

Sarah: As someone who is frequently on the road, I love to come home to my own bed, piled with an array of colorful handmade quilts. The visual allusions to DNA, pixelation, and outer space imagery that come together in this quilt are truly mind-blowing. What could be better than curling up to read under this techno-color quilt aptly named "Trip Around the World"? I am deeply envious of anyone with a quilt like this. By Quiltsbybarb, $350.

"My quilts arrived yesterday. They all look great. You were right about the retreat quilt…It’s even better in person. The ‘barebones’ quilting doesn’t look ‘bare’ at all. It is attractive and very well done. I especially like the floral trellis one where you used the variegated bright thread. Thanks again for such quick turn-around."

See pictures of Kristine's 2008 log cabin quilt.

The pattern is from Judy Martin's Log Cabin Quilts book, Shoreline Log Cabin, page 105.

Kristine got in on the Bare Bones quilting special for February and sent me three quilts for Bare Bones quiltings and also her retreat quilt from 2008.  All of Christine's quilts are always beautifully done!

When I named my new category of quilting Bares Bones, I didn't mean they would look bare; I was referring to the rock bottom price!  I hope no one misunderstands this category.  You will get the same high quality of workmanship that you are used to from Quilts by Barb.

"Thank you for your recent donation to our quilt guild in December, 2008.  We appreciate your support and very generous gift.  We used the donations as door prizes at our 2008 Christmas Party."

Vernon County Piecemaker's Quilt Guild- Joyce and Kristine

I have quilted a number of quilts for Joyce and was happy to donate some of my hand dyed fabric for her local guild's door prizes.  I would love to see what the winner did with the fabric.

Dear Barb,

"What a marvelous job you did on my quilt!  It's terrific!  My husband asked me if I really want to give it away now.  It's tempting but will be a surprise for our almost 16 year old granddaughter.  I couldn't be more pleased with your work.  Thank you."

Shirley

Thank you, Shirley.  Your quilt was beautifully constructed and I am sure your granddaughter will be thrilled.  I am so glad you brought it with you to the Quilt Retreat so you could see just what I could do with the machine quilting
